Our Story
GHAR Organization was established in Bremen, Germany, in 2025 by a group of Egyptians and Germans of Egyptian descent from diverse professional backgrounds. They were united by compassion and a shared sense of responsibility in response to the worsening humanitarian situation in many countries, particularly in the Middle East. They came together with a common goal: to create an organization that bridges the gap between people who want to help and those who need help the most.
The name “GHAR” — meaning “cave” in Arabic — symbolizes shelter, protection, and safety. It reflects our core mission to provide support, dignity, and hope to people affected by conflict, poverty, and natural disasters.
Since our founding, we have been committed to supporting families across multiple crisis zones while maintaining the highest standards of transparency and accountability.
Our Mission
GHAR is dedicated to alleviating human suffering and protecting the dignity of vulnerable populations through impartial, effective, and sustainable humanitarian assistance. We support people affected by conflict, persecution, poverty, and disasters, while promoting equitable access to health, education, and social well-being in line with humanitarian and development principles.
